These bits are custom hand made and take 5-6 weeks **The prices are based on current price of silver. The bits can be made in any of the finishes listed below Finishes -Stainless steel with .925 silver overlay (This is probably what you are most use to in a show bit. It is sweet iron mouth piece with copper inlay and the shanks are steel with sterling silver overlay. The mouth will rust, but horses like the taste. To minimize the rust on the mouth, clean the bit after use). Blue with .999 silver Inlay-Rust (patina) with .999 silver Inlay Copper (brown) with .999 silver inlay-Black with .999 silver inlay This is done by a heating process. The color will eventually wear off and turn a brown color. The mouth piece is sweet iron with a copper inlay. These bits WILL RUST. Some people, especially cowboys, find this desirable. The rust can be minimized by coating the bit often with oil. Color can be put back into the bits if the rust is not too bad.
